Questions
Questions and answers
Short answers about requests, weights, offcuts and calibres.

Does the app show ERA GOLD's prices or stock?
No. It works out theoretical kilograms and writes a quote request. Whether ERA GOLD can supply them, which sizes and lengths, and at what price, is for ERA GOLD to answer.
Is a request an order?
No. The request says so at the top: it is a quote request, subject to confirmation by ERA GOLD S.A.S. Nothing is bought unless you agree a quote.
Are the weights exact?
They are theoretical estimates from the size and the grade's density. Tubes can weigh up to about 7 % more and cast bar can come oversize. Ask ERA GOLD whether it would sell by theoretical or by scale weight.
Why does the plan use my offcuts first?
Metal you already own costs nothing more. Every matching offcut on your rack is tried before a new bar or sheet is added, and the leftovers worth keeping go back on the rack with a new tag.
What are kerf, end trim and chuck stub?
Kerf is the metal the saw blade turns into chips on each cut. End trim is what you cut off a rough bar end. The chuck stub is the piece left in the lathe chuck when you part off. Set all three in Shop rules.
What metal does the app plan?
New semi-finished bar, plate and profiles for your own jobs. Short ends are yours; the app does not track them and gives them no value.
What does calibre 18 mean?
It depends on the table: 1,10 to 1,20 mm in the Colombian steel sheet bands, 1,21 mm in the Manufacturers' Standard Gauge, 1,024 mm in AWG and 1,245 mm in BWG. That is why the app always writes millimetres.
Where is ERA GOLD?
ERA GOLD S.A.S. is registered in Palermo, Huila. The app does not invite visits: call to ask how and where material would be handed over.
Does the app need the internet?
No. It has no internet permission. Requests leave only when you share, email, copy or call from your own apps.
